Asgardia's main national holiday, Unity Day, was established on 1 Leo 0001 (18 June 2017), when the Space Nation adopted the Declaration of Unity and Head of Nation Dr. Igor Ashurbeyli gave a start to the voting on the Constitution.
This year, the date will be marked by the launch of the national television, AsgardiaTV. According to the Minister of Information and Communications Dennis Shoemaker, this is a government project created for direct communication of the Asgardian Government and Parliament with the Asgardians living in different parts of the world. Asgardia's own media platform will share news and important information, and host live broadcasts.
The first transmission, and the first live broadcast, will be held on Unity Day: the XII (X digital) Sitting of the Asgardian Parliament will be broadcast all over the planet starting from 8 p.m. UTC.
The holiday celebrations will also include an article on our website with a series of video recordings by top Asgardians and, last but not least, our usual party on Discord that commences at 7 p.m. UTC. Stay tuned and join the action!
